Rethink on nature and nurture in AI era

Recently I have rethought on nature/nurture/social practices and its respectful evolution of theories in education through different important thinkers. 

First,as we have been looking into much about how brain structure enables such complexity to form language and cognition of high intelligence, like generalization, abstract, compare, deliberate control, deliberate attention;  

Despite the complex structure of brain structure enables us to speech and react, social mind also plays a important role as child learn in contextual, embodied social and cultural background. The classic terms to demonstrate is collective intelligence and situated learning theory. 

To start with, the language developing phase itself involves social mind to participate, as children's natural urge to speak and its innate ability to picking up language making them to interact with whatever around them parents, siblings, peers etc. This is where the first stage of social mind development, where cultural and social context plays a preliminary role in language developing; 

Human's the only specie that has history so that new comers can learn all the collective intelligence that old timers have been through. Therefore, collective intelligence, as form of collectively organized wisdom and intelligence that covers all past experience lived under all cultures and contexts that is passed down to new times. This is a huge influence for we to have history from which we learn how to survive. It's hard to imagine if we didn't ever learn from collective intelligence. 

As Etienne and James Paul Gee have elaborated on situated learning, education since the day it is born always involves at least two or more minds together, children form cognition not in abstract concept but concrete  images in the brain. and Pea has mentioned that intelligence is not a quality of mind alone, but a product of relationship between brain structure and tool of intellect provided by culture. 

Situated cognition stresses that knowledge and intelligence are contextual embodied and distributed across various tools and technologies. Since we live and learn from more than just schools especially children in this era, we have to cease to talk about reform education in school but instead, we should think about move to education in society. 

one dynamics of learning in community practices is that , communities of practices actually formulate students reflect intention who I am in the community , the more he/she thinks this level often, the more he/she encounters more self development through different groups of practices finally understand of themselves.

So far, we have been in the discussion about to what extent do we as modern people affected by nature and by nurture. There are more cases demonstrating brain structures result in various education effects. but a recent new study on Nurther can actually impact nature as well stands out; 

A recent research paper by Stanford Education and Neuroscience phd candidate has been published about how schooling chances for early education can actually change the white matter structure in students' brain; 

This is a new paper finding nature and nurture's impact is both mutually dependent and intertwined .
